Our story is a simple one...we found a need and we created a way to help with the need.
In 2005 the Baker family went on a missions trip for Christmas to Tijuana, Mexico to build houses for 2 families that were living in very poor conditions. While on this trip, our hearts were broken for the desperation we saw. That is how this story began 6 years ago and the Know Hope story continues to be written.
In 2009, after numerous trips back to Mexico to help with building projects, I began asking myself, "how could I possibly make a difference in this huge pool of hopelessness". I remembered hearing someone say, "one person can become the strength of thousands, one person at a time", and so I made a decision that I would find a way to help the innocent ones, the children, even if I had to do it alone.
In January of 2010, I prayed a simple prayer, “Lord, please give me an idea that I could use to make a difference in the lives of hopeless children”. In April of 2010 Know Hope was registered with the government as a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. At Know Hope we recycle coffee bean burlap sacks from around the world into products that we sell to create hope for children. We are passionate about our mission and after 2 years, we have sent hope to many thousands of children in the form of food and other humanitarian relief efforts.
